1. Parents remain responsible
Parents and carers remain responsible for their children before, during, and after events unless a separate formal childcare arrangement exists. Do not assume supervision has been delegated.
HE Connect is designed for family-led home-education communities. This page sets expectations for safer use.
Parents and carers remain responsible for their children before, during, and after events unless a separate formal childcare arrangement exists. Do not assume supervision has been delegated.
Public paid events are visible without login, but private family information, joining tools, and discussions should remain behind trusted invite access.
Hosts should describe activities honestly, state age suitability, share venue and access details, set capacity, explain costs, identify risks, and communicate changes promptly.
Choose appropriate public or well-understood venues where possible. Consider toilets, access, parking, water, weather, first aid, allergies, tools, animals, water, fire, roads, and other hazards.
Families should communicate respectfully. Harassment, bullying, discriminatory behaviour, intimidation, or sharing private contact/event details without consent may lead to removal.
Ask before taking or sharing photos of other families or children. Do not post identifiable images or personal details without clear consent.
If something feels unsafe, leave the situation, contact the host or venue staff where appropriate, and report the concern to the site administrator using the in-app report tools or the Admin contact route linked in the footer. In an emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
Admins may hide, disable, or remove events, users, messages, or host privileges where there are safety, trust, payment, or conduct concerns.
Badges such as Verified Host or Admin help identify roles inside the platform. They are not a guarantee that an event is risk-free.
Safeguarding concerns are handled by the HE Connect site host/admin team. Moderators may triage reports, but admins remain responsible for final platform decisions and escalation where appropriate.
Safeguarding is an ongoing process. HE Connect should be reviewed regularly as the community grows, with clear routes for feedback and concerns.
Human-first support for trusted access, hosting, safeguarding, technical issues, or getting started. A moderator/admin will review your request — no automated access approvals.
